Local content
The Mac App Store edition processes captures, annotations, screenshot history, and recordings on your Mac. Screen Recording permission is used to capture the display; microphone permission is only for recordings you start. Each time recording stops, you choose where to save the M4A file. Canceling retains a local temporary recording for another save attempt. The app does not automatically upload this content, report anonymous installation analytics, or require an account.
Feedback drafts
Feedback text, images you select, and issue positions are saved locally. The store edition does not submit feedback inside the app. Open Support opens a fixed address in your default external browser, without drafts, attachments, issue positions, or query parameters. If you later send a message on the developer’s website, only the information you separately enter and submit is sent to the developer.
Retention and deletion
Captures, associated recordings, and standalone recordings follow a 30-day Trash rule, deferred until the next launch if the app is closed. Recordings are retained with a reported issue if access or file identity cannot be verified. Trash is not immediate permanent erasure. Delete captures from history, or manage exported audio, Trash, and backups in Finder.
Feedback drafts do not expire automatically. Clear the text and issue position, remove the image, and save to clear their content. You can revoke Screen Recording or microphone access in macOS System Settings → Privacy & Security; the corresponding feature will then be unavailable.
Website and contact
App data handling is separate from website analytics. The main product page records visits and download actions, respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control, and offers an opt-out in its privacy section. Downloads remain available after opting out. These support and privacy pages do not load an analytics script. Ordinary connection information is still sent to the hosting server when a page is requested.
For privacy questions, use the developer’s public contact page, select “给我留言” (Leave a message), and decide whether to include a way to reply. You may also request deletion of a message you previously submitted; include its date and enough information to identify it.
