Press standard F6 or use the squirrel menu bar icon. Some keyboards require Fn+F6. Allow Screen Recording when macOS asks. Microphone access is only needed when you choose to record audio.

History contains captures saved by this app. Command-click to select multiple items or Shift-click a range, then copy. The receiving app determines whether it can paste multiple images. For scrolling captures, scroll down with overlapping content; animated or repeated content may affect stitching.

Each time you stop recording, choose where to save the M4A file in the system save panel (Downloads by default). Canceling keeps the temporary recording so you can retry saving. Captures, associated recordings, and standalone recordings follow a 30-day Trash rule, deferred until the next launch if the app is closed. Recordings are retained with a reported issue if access or file identity cannot be verified. Save a separate copy of anything you want to keep.

Quit the website edition before importing its history. Import leaves the original directory unchanged and preserves the original dates in the copies. Select each original audio file again to authorize access to older attached recordings; their associated history is retained until authorization is restored.

The store edition saves feedback text, selected images, and issue positions as local drafts only. Open Support does not send or carry these drafts to the website.

Open BlueSky’s public contact page and choose “给我留言” (Leave a message). Include “Squirrel Screenshot F6”, the app and macOS versions, and steps to reproduce the issue. Contact details are optional. Nothing is sent until you submit a message on that website.

Feedback drafts do not expire automatically. To clear their content, empty the feedback text and issue position, choose “移除截图” (Remove image), and save the draft. Do not send passwords, tokens, or private screenshots through public channels.
